WEFTA Conference

WaSeaBi will be present at the West European Fish Technologists Association (WEFTA) Conference taking place in Tórshavn, Faroe Islands from the 15 - 17 October 2019.

The WEFTA conference is where food scientists, PhD students and fish processing industries meet to present their latest research achievements and share valuable experiences in the field of fish industry and aquatic products, quality and safety.

The theme for this year's conference is “Blue Value Creation, Bioeconomy, Health and Safety” and will deal with subjects like “Sustainable aquaculture – healthy production today and in the future”, “Zero waste production and biorefining” and “Health effects of seafood consumption and promotion of marine-based food”

On Thursday 17 October Grethe Hyldig from DTU Food will give a poster presentation under the headline “Underutilized and new aquatic biomass side-streams” which relates to the subject of Zero waste production and biorefining.
