EUROPEAN WEEK of REGIONS and CITIES
On 15 October 2020 WaSeaBi will be presenting at this year’s European Week of Regions and Cities which will be conducted online.
Charlotte Jacobsen from the Technical University of Denmark has been invited to give a presentation during a workshop session on Circular Economy & Islands Research. Her presentation will be about the WaSeaBi project in relation to food production & the blue growth perspectives with focus on blue bio-waste & bioeconomy as well as local bioeconomy growth & industry cooperation.

About European Week of Regions and Cities
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual event in which cities and regions show their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement the cohesion policy of the European Union and demonstrate the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance.
The purpose of the event is to:
- Discuss common challenges for European regions and cities and brainstorm possible solutions by bringing together political representatives, decision-makers, experts and professionals from regional policy, as well as stakeholders from business, banking, society organizations civil society, the academic world and the EU institutions.
- Provide a platform for capacity building and the exchange of experiences and good practices for those who implement EU cohesion policy and manage its financial instruments.
- Facilitate cooperation and networking between regions and cities; feed the debate on EU cohesion policy in a broader context, including recent research and opinions from third countries and international organizations.
